Drone Survey: Unlock The Power Of Drone Surveys By Expert Surveyors!

Drones are increasingly being used for surveys due to their efficiency and accuracy. They can capture high-resolution aerial images, create detailed maps, and collect data in hard-to-reach areas. Using drones for surveys saves time and resources while providing valuable insights for various industries like construction, agriculture, and environmental monitoring.

An unmanned aerial vehicle, commonly known as a drone, is more than a novel gadget.
Besides revolutionising the filmmaking industry, drones have become an integral part of surveying services.

Minimise Health & Safety Risks

Carrying out drone surveys is slowly becoming standard practice as many industries move to minimise health and safety risks.

Using drones reduces the need to work at heights. Moreover, it's quicker and cheaper than traditional methods such as scaffolding.

We carry out a wide range of drone surveys for many different industries. These include visual inspections with photo/video footage, orthomosaic photos, thermal inspections, building damage surveys, and much more.

What Is Meant By Drone Survey

What Is Meant By 'Drone Survey'?

So, what is meant by a drone survey? Well, it refers to the use of a drone to capture aerial data using a multitude of sensors, including RGB, thermal or multispectral cameras and LiDAR scanners.

For instance, during a topographical drone survey, we will take high-resolution photos of the ground from multiple angles and automatically tag each image with a GPS coordinate.

We then process this data using photogrammetry software to create geo-referenced orthomosaics, elevation models, and 3D models of the area.

The maps we create using the capture data can be used to extract crucial information such as highly accurate length, area and volume measurements.

Are there any benefits to drone surveys?

There are quite a few benefits to drone surveys, some of these are:

Faster and cheaper than traditional surveys

Capturing topographic data via a drone is five times faster than using traditional surveying methods and it requires less manpower which means that it can be carried out at a fraction of the cost.

Reaching to map inaccessible areas

An aerial survey can map otherwise inaccessible areas. You'll no longer be hindered by thick brush, steep slopes, or harsh terrain.

They provide accurate and comprehensive data

Total stations can only measure a limited number of individual points in a day whereas a drone can produce thousands of measurements in a single flight. These measurements can later be represented in numerous formats such as point clouds, Digital Terrain Model (DTM), Digital Surface Model (DSM), contour map and more. Each pixel on the produced map or point of the 3D model contains embedded 3D geo-data.

Drone Services

Drone Evolution provides a wide range of aerial inspection services, including:

Roof Inspections

The ability to inspect a roof with a drone significantly reduces the time it takes to conduct roof surveys, and importantly, it also reduces the danger of working at height. From the air, many issues can be spotted quickly in hard-to-reach places. This means remedial work can be accurately assessed. We conduct our aerial inspections with the latest drone and camera technology. When compared to old-fashioned techniques, our approach allows us to carry out surveys in a fraction of the time.

After our drone survey, you'll receive:

  • High-quality video up to 4K
  • Promotional video edits available for Social Media, client updates and presentations.
  • Tethered system appropriate for time-lapse.

Thermal Surveys

Thermography can be used for a range of applications as it has potential to identify issues not visible to the human eye such as water leaks, heat loss due to missing insulation or solar panel failure.

At Drone Evolution, we have some of the most experienced drone operators in the industry. This makes us uniquely qualified to deliver you the results you need quickly and affordably.

Some features of our aerial thermal imaging service include:

  • Identification of heat loss areas
  • Accurate, non-destructive methodology
  • A quick and safe process to identify problem areas
  • High-quality thermal imagery with the ability to set the temperature parameters depending on the application
  • Multiple colour scale outputs available

Event Security

Having an “eye in the sky” will significantly improve your security operation in a temporary spaces such as sports events or concerts. Thanks to smart technology, our drone can stay in the air for hours, providing high-definition 4k images with zoom capability. It can be set up and taken down in minutes and is more mobile than any other surveillance solution out there. Our tethered drone is weather durable, ensuring it can stay up in challenging weather conditions.

By hiring us as a part of event security, you'll get multiple benefits, including:

  • Elevated Views affording you more data to assess on the ground situations and risks quickly.
  • Bespoke payload tailored to the event and environment.
  • Secure Data Storage & Live Feed Integration Into Existing Security Feed.
  • Pre-Event Assessment & Consultation Service
